HERE IS WHAT YOUR SENIORS HEALTHCARE SPECIALIST CAN DO FOR YOU
#1: We can help you to “Age-in-Place” in your own home on your own terms
Have you ever heard of the concept called “Age-in-place”? It means being able to live in your own home, on your own terms, for the rest of your life.
The only problem with the “Age-in-Place” outlook is the reality of our health. As we age, does it usually get better or worse? We all know the answer to that, of course. This is why so many people eventually end up moving to the Nursing Home after all – even though they swore many times (when they were younger and healthier) that they never would. Well, guess what? Surprise, surprise!
But yes, it is possible to “Age-in-Place.” There’s just a reality we must accept that someday things (like our health) may change, and not for the better.
However, when our health does change, the good news is that there are services which provide visiting nurses and even visiting doctors who will come to your home and administer the medical care you need to receive.
But you should also know that these kinds of services can be expensive, and on-going, and are not covered by Medicare. Eventually they can become hard on your pocketbook. So you should become prepared for this possibility, before it consumes all your savings.
The best way to prevent these on-going services from sapping all your savings is to acquire a program available from health insurance companies known as SHORT-TERM CARE. This is a policy that can provide you with tax-free reimbursement for the out-of-pocket expenses you’ll someday incur. This policy will cover in-home care AND the possibility of needing recovery in a nursing home someday, too. Also, benefits will be restored after six months of not needing the coverage.
Once your policy is issued, your premium cannot be raised and your benefit cannot be cancelled. As Jay likes to say, “Life is good, until it’s not. Be prepared, with Short-Term Care.”
#2: We can help you to save money on 3 different choices in Medicare Supplements
Do you know there are options in the ways you can get Medicare Supplement coverage, and at lower costs, too? And these options can provide the savings to pay for the Short-Term Care just discussed. If you didn’t stay in “Traditional Medicare” with just Parts A and B coverage, then you have moved into a “Managed Care” program from either a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage. While the Advantage has become popular with its zero premium, many people recognize the financial risk of its copay and coinsurance approach and opt instead for the security of a Supplement Plan F or G.
It’s possible to find Medicare Supplements with lower premiums than you may be paying now, too. Once you do, It costs nothing to apply for a replacement policy (subject to Underwriting, of course.) Check out your options with Jay.
However, most Medicare Supplement recipients don’t know about or appreciate the opportunity to save even more money with comparable coverage in the two alternative programs, Plan N and the High Deductible Plan G. It’s certainly worthwhile to learn more about them.
First, the Plan N. It offers all the financial protection available from a Plan F or G, except it has a $20 copay for doctor visits and a $50 copay for hospital emergency room trips. But the premium is substantially lower for accepting these charges, which most people only incur rarely. In exchange for the premium saving that the copays produce from your Plan F or G, the Plan N is a bargain! Ask Jay for more information about this.
But for real savings on a Medicare Supplement premium, with the same level of care, the “High Deductible Plan G” (called the “Hi D G”) is the biggest bargain of all. Look at how much lower the premiums are! To receive these savings, you much accept a $2870 deductible – which is about what you would have paid for the regular Plan F or G premiums anyway. All future medical expenses are covered after the copays are met, IF THEY ARE EVEN INCURRED. Either way, the savings are spectacular, and the coverage is identical to the regular Medicare Supplement Plan F or G. Ask Jay for more information about this.
Remember that our objective was not just to save money on Medicare Supplement premiums; it was to create the savings that pay the cost of getting the Short-Term Health Care program to Age-in-Place with in-home health care. You can really save money for Short-Term Care with any of these new Medicare Supplement programs. Work with Jay to work this out!
#3: We can help you get an effective, affordable Dental plan with Vision and Hearing coverage
There is nothing more valuable than a good dental insurance program! Oral health is essential to our well-being, but admittedly oral care can become expensive. Many people are more afraid of the bill than the drill. Yet we are more susceptible to dental problems as we age, and dental insurance can be crucial to affording the care.
A good dental policy like this will pay for your semi-annual check-up and reimburse you for half (or more) of the cost of care. Also, a good policy like this will offer you access to discounted Vision and Hearing programs too, which will reduce their costs below the regular retail rates. Ask Jay for more information about a Dental/Hearing/Vision program today.
#4: We can help you get a tax-free $25,000 “Cash Cancer” check when you need it most
The three words no one ever wants to hear are, “You’ve got cancer.” But the three words you want to hear next are, ”Here’s a check.” A check for up to $25,000, for you to use at your discretion that helps with your treatment and recovery.
A “First Diagnosis Cancer Policy,” also called “cash cancer,” is very simple. When your doctor certifies you are under treatment for any form of cancer (except skin cancer), then you immediately qualify for a tax-free check in whatever amount you applied to receive: either $10, 15, 20, or 25,000.
You can then use the money however you wish, with no reporting required. “No strings attached.” This helps you pay for the many different out-of-pocket expenses related to your recovery. Especially for the high cost of drugs, which are often too new (and too expensive) for any prescription drug formulary to carry. Ask Jay for more information about this soon.
All of this relationship starts with a no cost, no obligation conversation with Jay. We won’t just try and “sell you something.” We want to get acquainted, and then see if there is anything you want that we can help you get.
And most importantly, always remember that there is never a charge to you for any of the service we provide for you.
